Tonya, of Amazon-like strength, is really, really mired now! Each cycle of her repeated haul-ups and savage leg pumps bog her- nearly imperceptibly- yet more and more.  As her rear becomes more and more imprisoned, her movement becomes more and more measured each time, fixed in place, except for descent.  This almost surreal clinging khaki quagmire is relentlessly overtaking what Tonya thought to be her unassailable center.  This is a bigger-than-life muck-siege of her great center, sinking in earnest into the bog's surface! We look up at Tonya here to see that, as formidable as we might see her to be, she has met with a force that might be able to overcome her! This relationship is new to her and this starts infusing fear into her.
